The Wilson Combat Commander Special is the latest Supergrade 1911 model and represents our Supergrade gunsmithing team’s vision of a time-tested, classic carry gun loaded with custom options that serious shooters prefer.
Starting with our in-house machined, forged steel frame and slide, our seasoned Supergrade pistolsmiths hand-fit an oversize Wilson Combat 4.25” bushing barrel and tune each Commander Special for superb reliability and match-grade accuracy.
Some new custom items are featured on this model like a white gold bead front sight, retro USGI thumb safety and a slightly bobbed beavertail grip safety that mates up perfectly to a traditionally styled rowel hammer. The slide wears traditional USGI pattern rear cocking serrations for a truly classic look.
The Commander Special is available in a fully hand polished blued version or equally striking stainless steel and blue two-tone finish that accents its traditional styling and timeless good looks.
A set of fancy burl walnut grips and deeply crowned muzzle are the perfect finishing touches to this handsome example of the finest custom gun making available. The Commander Special is truly a special carry gun for the shooter seeking the finest quality 1911 available on the market today with a legacy of performance and service unmatched in the firearms industry.
