ABOUT WALT PROULX
I became a member of the Wilson Combat Shooting Team in April of 2016 but have considered myself a member of the “family” for much longer. I am the father and competitive arch nemesis of Austin Proulx and I am the elder Statesman of the Wilson Combat Shooting Team. I am an avid deer and elk hunter and enjoy long range rifle shooting. I can count the weekends that I did not spend at least one day with my son on one hand. Hunting and shooting are a big part of the reason that I can proudly make that claim. I began Competitive shooting in 2010 as a CDP Sharpshooter in IDPA. I bumped to CDP Expert in 2011 and to CDP Master in 2012. I have been CDP Division Champion in several state and regional championships and have taken the award for High Senior at all levels of competition. I have recently started shooting USPSA and look forward to doing some 3 gun competition as well. I began shooting Wilson Combat guns soon after I started competing. My go to gun is and has always been a CQB Elite built up just the way I like it by the talented folks at the Wilson Combat shop.
