THE SS-15 SUPER SNIPER TACTICAL RIFLE

 

There are times when extreme accuracy and the ability for rapid follow-up shots are the most important criteria in selecting a rifle. Those were the primary objectives the engineers at Wilson Combat® were working toward when they designed the SS-15 Super Sniper – and the result far exceeded our expectations. It has a 20” long, 1-in-8 twist, heavy-weight, fluted, stainless steel premium match-grade barrel – optimized for accuracy with the longer, heavier bullets frequently used for longer range shooting. The crispness of the JP trigger/hammer group is unequalled in AR style rifles; we tune it for a 3 – 3.5 pound pull. This gun is engineered, designed, and built to deliver un-matched accuracy at 300, 400, or even 500 yards – and it does, in an almost unbelievable fashion. If you have always thought you needed a bolt action rifle for long range accuracy, you will be amazed when you take a SS-15 to the range.

If you are a varmint hunter – imagine long-range nail-driving accuracy in a package only 38” long and 9 ¼ pounds. Then imagine up to 30 rounds for consecutive shots. The SS-15 Super Sniper, in the right hands, can solve prairie dog and coyote infestation problems like no other varmint rifle.

The SS-15 Super Sniper Rifle is built with precision CNC machined upper and lower receivers, using high-quality 7075 T6 aluminum forgings. The upper utilizes a flat-top receiver for solid sight mounting and a free-floated aluminum hand guard that is comfortable and adds to overall performance.

Available with Mil-Spec black manganese phosphate (parkerized) or Armor-Tuff® finish on all steel components, with a hard anodized finish on the receivers, the SS-15 is all-weather ready.

The SS-15 Super Sniper features a precision JP trigger/hammer group, tuned to a crisp 3-3.5 pound trigger pull.

 At Wilson Combat, we have teamed up with Robar to have all of our AR Bolt Carrier Groups completely NP-3 plated.  Our testing and the testing of others has shown that Robar NP3 plating of the Bolt Carrier Group enhances reliability, lessens cleaning time, improves corrosion resistance and minimizes required bolt lubrication. 

What is NP3?
NP3 is a surface treatment for steel and metal alloys that combines sub-micron particles of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), otherwise known as Teflon, with electroless nickel.

NP3 - THE ADVANTAGES

• Little to no lubrication is needed on opposing surfaces

• Cleaning is minimal, usually requiring only a soft cloth

• Permits firing for longer periods of time between cleaning, as dirt and powder residue has no wet or oily surface to cling to

• NP3 has a micro hardness of 48-51 Rockwell as plated (nickel matrix)

• NP3 is very corrosion resistant, a 1 mil (.001) coating exceeding a 240 hour salt spray test

• NP3 has a high lubricity and low friction co-efficient; therefore, the life expectancy of a firearm will be greatly increased due to reduced friction wear

• NP3 is a satin gray, non-reflective color

• NP3 gives a smoothness to the action not found with any other coating

• NP3 is guaranteed against corrosion, peeling or flaking for the lifetime of the firearm
