A self-defense pistol is a
contingency item. We select one, buy one, learn to use one,
practice with one, and lug one around with us for one reason, that
we hope never occurs – that one day we will have to defend
ourselves, or perhaps defend someone else. If that situation ever
develops, statistics have shown that rarely are gun battles won with
a single shot, and that wounds are more likely than instantly fatal
shots. In fact, there is a real possibility that you could find
yourself in a defensive situation with one arm, hand, or shoulder
disabled. With this in mind, we have developed a version
of our Combat sight that enables single-handed slide manipulation –
the Wilson Combat® Tactical Boot Sight.
The Tactical Boot Sight
has a vertical face machined about the half-way point down the ramp
of our combat sight. For single-handed slide operation, the vertical
face can be lodged against any firm surface (such as an outside
corner of a wall, a door jamb, your belt – or even your boot heel)
where a firm push on the pistol grip will enable you to manipulate
the slide.
If you are going to carry
a weapon for a contingency – doesn’t it make sense to cover
as many contingencies as possible?
The Tactical Boot Sight
has a 40 lpi serrated rear face, and square-cut notch that is .140
inch wide, for the rapid target acquisition you need in a combat
situation. |
